We have had a mild winter here in California, great for somethings and bad for others. Good because we have been building our dream home and because of the unusually mild weather we are about half finished. We hope to be finished by May so we can perch on top of our hill and look out over the ranch and take in the wild flowers, tall lush grasses with beautiful paint horses dotting them along with the baby ducks in our pond. Speaking of the pond. One of the bad things about a mild winter is that the pond is half empty. Usually filled to the brim and swimming in it Canadian geese this time of year it still looks like late August. We have some very exciting news to share with all. Some will and some wont remember STETSON. What I believe to be one of my prettiest babies that I have raised. He has that minimal black pattern that just gets me. Well he is a two year old now and we have sent him off to the trainers. This is only the second foal of A Classic Alliances that I have sent away from home. I miss him already but am very proud of him. The haulers came and he jumped into the trailer (mind you it was a ramp load on a hill) maybe three feet plus high from the ground and its as if he rode a cloud in. He jumped so light you couldnt feel him land. The hauler said he did great and arrived in Washington in good shape. He has been there now a few days and the trainer says he is very well mannered and behaved. He thinks Stetson doesn't know he is a stallion. I had thought I would geld him but I just couldn't bring myself to it. We have no plans to stand stallions again but I just couldnt do it. Anyway I hope that everyone will come visit to see his progress and yes PICTURES.. lol .. I'm a picture girl that's for sure. Thats about it for now.
